Dining light has one job: make the table the warmest place in the house. That means an even downlight layout over and around the table, dimmed low, with quiet accent light on the walls.

We centre the layout on the table rather than the room when the two do not align, and add discreet perimeter or accent light so the space never falls into shadow.

Everything runs on dimmers, so the same room works for homework at 4pm and a long dinner at 9pm.
